First Poll

Hi everyone!

I wanted to let you know I've created a poll for your "Biggest Summer Beauty Concerns."

I need your feedback so that I can write my first review. Based on your posts, I will take the top concern, pick my favorite product for it and write about it.

Thanks so much for your participation.

  1. so My husband and I recently got pretty badly sunburned! We are trying to keep our skin from drying out WHILE trying to help it turn into a tan and you now- not peel!
But, everything we have been using makes us look all greasy and shiny!

what do you recommend oh-glorious one?

  2. Hi Dani.

Sorry to hear that you got sunburned. I for one love to be out in the sun but I highly advise the use of a sunscreen if you're going to be out in it. Something with at least an SPF 15 or more.

Now that you're already burned, there are a couple of things to do.

    1. Take the hottest shower possible. The heat from the water will help relieve the fever in your skin. It will suck, but you will be happy later on that you did.

    2. Sunburn is a form of dehydration of the skin and may also give you a headache as well. You may want to take some form of medication such as **Aspirin (also a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug), such as Bayer or Bufferin and drink plenty of water.

    3. While there is little you can do to stop skin from peeling after a sunburn-it is part of the healing process- lotion may help relieve the itching.

One of my favorite products is the True Blue® Spa
Hold It Right There - After-Sun Tan Extender.

It contains aloe vera and tea tree oil (ingredients known for their natural ability to restore skin).

I've gotten my fair share of sun in my time and I'm no stranger to sunburn. I love this product because it doesn't feel sticky, moisturizes the skin and has a great citrus scent.

You can find this product and many more for your summer activities at www.bathandbodyworks.com.

    Price: $15.00 SIZE: 12 fl oz/355 mL

    ** Safety tips

Be sure to follow these safety tips when you use a nonprescription medicine:

    * Carefully read and follow all directions on the medicine bottle and box.
    * Do not take more than the recommended dose.
    * Do not take a medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to it in the past.
    * If you have been told to avoid a medicine, call your doctor before you take it.
    * If you are or could be pregnant, do not take any medicine other than acetaminophen unless your doctor has told you to.
    * Do not give aspirin to anyone younger than age 20 unless your doctor tells you to.

Thanks for the comment! I hope you guys have awesome tans!
